The following video from David Caruana shows a demonstration of CMIS Browser web application built using Spring Surf and OpenCMIS platform. It includes a walkthrough of the CMIS Browser code. Both Alfresco and eXo xCMIS repositories are connected to.
David is an Alfresco ECM Founding Engineer and Chief Architect. Also he is a OASIS CMIS TC Member. During the video David shows what code is needed to connect to the Alfresco and eXo repositories. You’ll see that it is not that much code

Accessing and editing Zoho docs using xCMIS
eXo hosted a webinar to introduce the xCMIS, their new CMIS implementation. During the webinar, Jeremi showed a live demo of xCMIS accessing and editing Zoho docs. He has already converted this into a helpful step-by-step guide with screenshots. Zoho Docs is a central document repository for all types of documents.
The webinar will show you how to access Zoho Docs using the opensource portal GateIn.

Video with EMC CTO Razmik Abnous talking about CMIS
Razmik Abnous, CTO at EMC, is talking about CMIS and the need for this standard.
He talks about the following five different scenarios:

Alfresco-Lotus integration using CMIS

According to Dick Weisingers blog Alfresco announced at IBM Lotusphere 2010 in Orlando the integration of Alfresco with IBM’s Lotus Quickr, Lotus Notes, Lotus Connections and Websphere Portal. The name of this integration is “Alfresco Content Services for Lotus”.
Highlights of this integration:
- Integration with Microsoft Office based on Alfresco’s implementation of Microsoft Sharepoint protocol
- Alfresco adds Full Records Management features
- Cloud-computing deployment

Connect to a DMS through the iPhone using CMIS

On YouTube I found a video about an interesting iPhone app that connects to a DMS using CMIS.
This is another interesting example for the large variety of clients that can be used to access Document Management Systems.
Integration between ez Publish and Nuxeo via CMIS
The ez Publish partner NXC published an interesting video. This video shows the integration of the Web Content Management System ez Publish 4.2 and the Document Management System Nuxeo via CMIS.
NXC is the main contributor to eZ Publish CMIS. The documents are only stored in Nuxeo, but fetched and used in eZ Publish. eZ Publish now supports CMIS version 1.0 that is still in revision.
KnowledgeTree 3.7 includes a CMIS Interface
The DMS KnowledgeTree now supports CMIS. It supports CMIS draft version 0.61.

The CMIS functionality has been tested with the following CMIS Clients:
- CMISSpaces

- List folder contents (children or descendant collections) and browse into sub-folders.
- Fetch Folder or Document parent object
- Add Folders and Documents
- Deletion of Documents and Folders
- Moving of Documents and Folders
- Viewing of Documents via the document’s contentStream property.
- Document Checkout
- Cancel Document Checkout
- Document Check-in (limited)
